"Exploring: Creative Studio Lighting Techniques and Effects"

This is an intermediate to advanced level workshop, a basic knowledge of how a camera works is recommended but no previous experience with studio lighting is needed.

James Mountford is a London born / LA based fine art photographer working within the medium for 20 years.

Sunday, November 5th, 10:00am-4:00pm


THE WORKSHOP WILL INCLUDE:

Part I - 30 Min

A conversation / lecture between James and Yoshino about James's photographic approach, artistic interests, and explanation of his process.

Part II - 2 hours

In the first half of the workshop James will talk about and then demonstrate lighting techniques and effects on 3 different sets with a live model.

Lunch Break – 30 minutes

Part II - 3 hours

In the second half of the workshop the guests will be invited to take pictures of their own, rotating between the 3 sets (each with a live model) implementing the skills learned.

James will visit each guest to offer guidance and feedback.

+ Any digital slr with manual override
